9th MAY 2026 NOT HOUSEWORK.
I couldn't face sorting out the mess.....
..so I went out for the day and had a perfect time. It was such a luxury to have a WHOLE DAY to be out and no water drip to think about. We truly don't know what we've got till it's gone! The beautiful rose above was cascading over a wall at Alma Rd,Clifton behind the shopping mall there.
I bought a coffee in a cafe on the corner,new to me,I haven't been over this way for months.
A beautiful day. I got to the Bristol University Botanic Garden at Stoke Bishop
Lunch on the terrace. I bought a cup of tea but took my own food as the offerings in there are very basic. My reading is a book about life on an Indian reservation by Sherman Alexie and Snobs by Julian Fellowes the Downton Abbey writer,it's about……

After leaving the Botanic Garden I walked across Bristol.Downs a short way and got a bus to Westbury on Trym village ,where the ringing church bells got my attention and led me to the House of.Prayer where a cream tea in the garden was available so I availed myself of one.
.It was one of those rare days that just went right!
